Yerevan – one of the oldest cities in the world. Recently, Yerevan celebrated its 2800th anniversary, which means that the capital of Armenia is 29 years older than Rome. The city's colors begin to shine as the sun rises over the snow-capped peak of Mount Ararat to the west of the city. The inscription engraved on a stone indicates that according to the command of King Argishti I in 782 BC, he had this fortress built and gave it the name Erebuni. Some researchers mention, that the name Yerevan is derived from the name of the fortress. The capital of the Armenian Republic today has 1.2 million inhabitants and is the largest city in Armenia.

Northern Avenue, is one of the most popular pedestrian zones, with modern residential buildings, business centers, restaurants, bars, and cafes, which connects the Opera House to Abovyan Street. Another popular landmark is the Cascade complex and the "Cafesjian Sculpture Garden" in Tamanyan Street with its pedestrian area and many cafes, bars, restaurants and pubs on the sidewalks. The "Cafesjian Art Center" regularly organizes art events, including classical music series, traditional folk dance events and live concerts of jazz, pop and rock music.
