The building that houses the "Park Hotel Artsakh" dates back to the middle of the 19th century and is known as one of the buildings of the Russian Imperial Army Regiment Sundzhensko-Vladikavkaz, which was deployed to Stepanakert. Karabakh was annexed to the Russian Empire in 1847. The building served as a barracks and fortification. Then, at the end of the 19th century, with the loss of defensive value of the building, it was subjected to a first reconstruction: loopholes were laid in the walls of the restaurant, new windows and new doors were built. Then the second floor was built and the building was given the function of a military hospital.

In 1930, under the Soviet regime, with the combined efforts of construction workers, the latter underwent many changes: a third floor was built, a new entrance to the park with semi-circular stairs, concrete balusters, and flower pots were created.

In the 1960s, the south wing was incorporated into the building. In the Soviet era and until 2008, the building served as the city's hospital.

In 2008, a government sold the building to the company "Travel Center". However, for the restoration and transformation into a hotel, the new owners have announced a call for tenders. Among the dozens of projects proposed, that of young architects Sergey Galstyan and Marat Margaryan were selected.

The architects succeeded in embodying the idea of the owners by creating the historical aspect of the building and its appearance with three phases of construction. The renovation included old oak-beamed ceilings, fired bricks, solid wood of local oak and ash species. The interiors are decorated with local art objects and sculptures. The ethnographic corner presents authentic exhibitions of the last century. The hotel allows guests to better combine relaxation and entertainment.
