The Mount Aragats in located in the Armenian Highlands, in north-western Armenia and belongs to the mountain range of the Lesser Caucasus. With its 4095 meters height, it is the highest point of Armenia. Once the Mount Aragats was probably the largest dormant volcano in the world. It hasn’t been active since the end of the Pleistocene.

Ara ler

Ara Ler (Mount Ara) is located on the border of two provinces − Kotayk and Aragatsotn. The cone-shaped mountain rises to an altitude of 2585 m above sea level. This mountain of volcanic origin is about 10 million years old.

Shaki Waterfall

On the plateau near the town of Sisian, in the midst of unusual vegetation, the highest waterfall in Armenia named Shaki can be unfolded. The water flows down from a height of about 40 m. Above all, this waterfall impresses with its width. It offers a magnificent natural spectacle.

The Shengavit settlement is one of the most important archaeological monuments in Armenia from the early Bronze Age. It is located in the southwest of Yerevan, on the left bank of the Hrazdan. The hill covers an area of 6 hectares and the area is 30 meters above the river.

Shikahogh nature reserve is located in the picturesque province of Syunik in southern Armenia. Near the Iranian border the reserve is surrounded by dense forests. It is situated 1,660 m above sea level and was established in 1958. Shikahogh occupies 29,569 hectares.
