The daily life in a farm is an authentic experience: discover the landscape, the diversity of plants and animals, enjoy helping with the harvest, collect berries, fruits, milk a cow, feed the chickens, make a discovery tour of the village, visit village school, do shopping at a healthy food store, enjoy an Armenian barbecue and more. This trip is for those who have a special enthusiasm and passion for rural idyll, tranquility, sustainability, beautiful encounters and fine homemade delicacies and fresh organic products.

ITINERARY

 

Day 1      Yerevan
Arrival at Zvartnots international airport. Welcome and transfer to the hotel. Settle in and leisure time.

Day 2      Yerevan: City tour – Matenadaran – Geghard – HyeLandz Eco Village
Yerevan - one of the oldest cities in the world, welcomes you and invites you to a stroll through it. We will visit Matenadaran, the storage place of the sacred treasures, the ancient manuscripts, which talk about the traditions of several millennia Armenia. Departure for Kotayk, the Western province of Armenia. At the entrance of the Azat Valley we will visit the Geghard monastery of the 13th century, which is made from a solid massive rock. Since 2000, the monastery is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit to a cozy eco village will be a great continuation of our beautiful discoveries.  The well-appointed rooms and magnificent gardens with fruit trees, vegetables and greenery, pets as well as other fun  activities offer all the comfort for a nice stay.

Day 3      HyeLandz Eco Village – Garni – Basalt Organs – HyeLandz Eco Village
In a comfortable atmosphere we enjoy our breakfast and leave for exploring the pagan temple of Garni dating back to the 1st century. We also admire the “Symphony of Stones”or otherwise called “Basalt Organ”. Enjoying the magnificent view of those natural rocks we return to the eco village. Free time as per your preferences and wishes. A variety of games, such as chess, cards, dominoes, boules, badminton, basketball, table tennis and other activities are available. Here you can go hiking to nearby Azat gorge, enjoy juicy fruits or find a pleasant idleness rest. An evening around the campfire, with nice conversations and many delicacies, will make your day more beautiful and colorful.

Day 4      HyeLandz Eco Village – Khor Virap – Areni – Noravank – Herher
The beautiful Southern Armenia awaits us with its fertile valleys and magnificent landscapes. We explore the monastery and the sanctuary Khor Virap of the 4th century. Armenia has a very long winemaking tradition. Wine tasting at a winemaker family in Areni, in "Armenian Bordeaux". To the South of Areni, in the Amaghu gorge we admire Noravank, one of the most beautiful monasteries of Armenia. Our tour continues to Herher, a nice and very hospitable Armenian village, with its traditions, everyday concerns and at the same time with great joy and warm hospitality. Live for a short time the routine of the locals.

Day 5      Village Herher: “At home and not a guest”
Not the alarm, but the taste of special freshness will wake you up today. Taste the healthy country breakfast, which includes fresh local products as organic eggs, milk, cheese, honey, etc. Walk through the farm, do gardening with local people, help the hosts in the process of baking bread or a delicious cake, prepare your meal together and enjoy the process full of joy and fun. Here you are far away from everyday stress and can feel the village life with all your senses.

Day 6      Herher – Selim Caravanserai – Lake Sevan – Sevanavank – Dilijan 
After breakfast we drive to beautiful Lake Sevan, "the blue pearl of Armenia". Along the way we explore the caravanserai Selim and enjoy the magnificent views of the Selim Valley. On the peninsula of Sevan we explore the church Sevanavank, where you can find one of the five saviour cross stones. After a tasty lunch we drive to Dilijan town, "Armenian Switzerland". Dense forests, pristine landscapes and rolling hills surround the city like a green wall. A nice host family welcomes you in their home. Enjoy a cooking experience, explore around and just have a rest. Homestay.

Day 7      Dilijan – Haghartsin – Goshavank – Dilijan 
The city Dilijan always smells of freshness and nature. After breakfast, we will know better the area. Very close to Dilijan, in deep forests, we visit the monasteries Haghartsin (11th c.) and Goshavank (12-13c.). We can also visit the colorful Old Town. Rest time. Homestay.

Day 8      Dilijan – Village Pambak – Odzun 
Departure to the picturesque region of Lori, synonymous with natural paradise and tranquility. In the village Pambak you will see the small Armenia under one roof. The area offers many opportunities to get acquainted with the customs and regional culture. Here you can participate in preparing national dishes, admire Armenian dance art or craftsmanship. Then we visit a nice host family in Odzun. Enjoy a relaxed time. Homestay.

Day 9      Odzun – Sanahin – Haghpat – Yerevan
After a healthy breakfast, an interesting trip will bring us to the breathtaking surroundings. We visit the domed basilica Odzun. Next we explore Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries admiring beautiful countryside. Both of the monasteries belong to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Returning to Yerevan we enjoy a nice evening.

Day 10   Yerevan – Zvartnots – Etchmiadzin – Aknashen – Yerevan
Exploratory trip to Etchmiadzin, the religious center of Armenian Christianity. Along the way we will visit the ruins of "Zvartnots Round Cathedral" of the 7th century. After getting acquainted with Etchmiadzin Cathedral we will continue to the village Aknashen. Exciting encounters and the warm hospitality invite you once again around an Armenian table for nice conversations, laugh and joy. You get the unique opportunity to participate in the preparation of "lavash", the traditional Armenian flatbread. With full impressions we return to Yerevan. Rest time. Preparing for the trip to home.

Day 11   Return Flight
Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
